This website is operated by Youxi Huang, an independent practitioner (“we”). This page explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
If you contact us through the site, we ask for your name, work email, organization, a description of the cross-border matter you are facing and the question you want to discuss, and, if you choose to share them, the service or product your message concerns and the time sensitivity involved. If you write to us by email, we receive what you send.
Until a secure way to share sensitive information has been agreed, please keep initial correspondence at a high level and do not send documents, non-public transaction information, or sensitive personal data through the form or by ordinary email. Early correspondence does not create client-level confidentiality. If a conversation progresses toward an engagement, we will agree a secure way to share anything sensitive.
We collect only the information needed for an initial conversation. Browsing the site does not require an account and, apart from the technical logs described below, does not involve providing personal information.
How we use it
We use what you send us to respond, to consider whether a conversation makes sense for both sides, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We also check form submissions for spam and repeated delivery attempts, as described below. We do not use this information for marketing or advertising.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not add you to marketing lists or send newsletters you did not ask for. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Analytics and technical logs
Cloudflare hosts and protects this site. Its infrastructure produces technical request and performance information used for security and reliability, retained under Cloudflare’s own policies. We do not run advertising trackers or build profiles of visitors for marketing.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish ordinary submissions from automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser and connection. We do not send the form’s name, email, organization or message text to its verification endpoint. The widget is configured without pre-clearance cookies. You can contact us by email if you prefer not to use the form.
To limit repeated submissions, we temporarily keep security fingerprints derived from the connection address, email address, message and submission, together with a random request reference, timestamps and delivery status. These fingerprints use keyed hashes; the records do not contain raw addresses, names or message text. Records are removed from active storage after 24 hours. Cloudflare’s platform backups remain subject to its own retention policies.
Form security logs record request references, processing outcomes and a protected identifier for the source address. We use these logs to investigate abuse and delivery failures. They do not contain the form’s message text or complete contact details, and are retained under Cloudflare’s logging policies. If a tool requiring consent is ever adopted, this page will be updated and consent requested before it is enabled.
Messages accepted through the form arrive as ordinary email at contact@huangyousee.com and are stored with our email provider. The categories of service providers that receive data in order to run the site are: hosting, content delivery and security (Cloudflare), and email. These providers operate their own global infrastructure under their own published terms; where their processing happens outside your jurisdiction or ours, it is limited to what running the site, preventing abuse and receiving mail requires.
Retention and deletion
We keep correspondence for as long as a genuine reason exists to keep it, such as an ongoing conversation or an engagement that followed from it. When there is no longer a reason, we delete it rather than keeping it by default, unless the law or the protection of either side’s rights requires it to be kept.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you and receive a copy of it; ask us to correct or supplement it; ask us to delete it; restrict or refuse particular uses of it; withdraw any consent you have previously given; and ask us to explain how your information is handled. These requests are subject to any legal reason the information must be kept. Write to us at the address below, tell us what you are asking for, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify that a request genuinely comes from you before acting on it.
Where the information came to us with your correspondence, the simplest way to exercise any of these rights is to reference the earlier exchange.
